The Details

The Amgen Irish Open 2024 took place at the Royal County Down Championship Course from September 12th to 15th. With elite golfers and over 70,000 spectators in attendance, the much anticipated event spanned four days. Rasmus Højgaard claimed victory, with Rory McIlroy finishing as runner-up and Matteo Manassero securing third place. The event’s sponsor, Amgen, demonstrated their commitment to international sports, with CEO Bob Bradway personally awarding this year’s trophy.

The build-up for the event began in early July, with tickets selling out weeks in advance and the first deliveries arriving to offices. A global television audience of millions also tuned in, highlighting Northern Ireland as a leading golfing destination.
